WHO WE ARE

As one of the pioneers of liver transplant surgery, the Chennai Liver Foundation (CLF) is an active non-profit organization aimed at eradicating liver diseases. Through our research and educational initiatives, we strive to raise awareness about liver health.

OVERVIEW OF THE FOUNDATION

In the year 1997, Professor R.P. Shanmugam established the Chennai Liver Foundation to combat the rising incidence of liver diseases among the population. His collaboration with Dr. Vivekanandan paved the path for CLF to become one of India’s leading liver disease research, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment organisations. Our foundation’s major objectives are to advance liver health research, discover cures, and improve liver treatment options.

Fueled by our strong commitment, we strive to raise liver health awareness, educate people about liver diseases, and advocate for organ donation. At CLF, we aspire to empower individuals and inspire them to take control of their health.
