LEARN Hepatitis is India’s first dedicated e-learning course on viral hepatitis, developed to enhance awareness and clinical competence among healthcare professionals. The course covers the essential aspects of viral hepatitis, including its epidemiology, transmission, prevention, diagnosis, and management. It supports national efforts under the National Viral Hepatitis Control Programme (NVHCP) and aligns with the WHO goal of eliminating viral hepatitis as a public health threat by 2030.

The Directorate of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Government of Tamil Nadu, has officially adopted an e-learning platform, which was developed by the Chennai Liver Foundation, in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research-National Institute of Epidemiology, to train all healthcare professionals across the State’s health centres in hepatitis elimination. Health Minister Ma. Subramanian inaugurated the initiative along with Senthil Kumar, Principal Secretary and Arun Thamburaj, Mission Director, National Health Mission.
