Chennai Liver Foundation (CLF) is a voluntary, non-profit organization that aims to promote awareness about liver health by supporting research and educational activities. It offers help, support, and information to the medical fraternity and the general public about the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of liver-related diseases.

World Hepatitis Day, observed on July 28 every year, aims to raise global awareness of hepatitis – a group of infectious diseases known as Hepatitis A, B, C, D, and E — and encourage prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
Concerned about the increasing incidence of liver disease, Prof. R.P. Shanmugam founded Chennai Liver Foundation in 1997. Later Dr.Vivekanandan joined hands to make CLF focus in providing support for research & education, diagnoses, prevention and treatment of all liver diseases.
